Oh, Burberry...

I really should have started this blog with a Burberry trench, as that is where my own obsession started. Don't think that you won't be seeing many a Burberry coat here. Here's the coat that I most recently couldn't do without:

Seriously, somebody needs to stop me. I saw this one during a Marc Jacobs trunk show earlier in February, and knew that it should be part of my collection. Collection? Did I just say collection? I think I did. This picture does not do the coat justice...

On the Internet, everybody knows you are obsessed...with trench coats. There, I said it. And to celebrate Valentine's Day (not that I would want to do such a thing), here is one of my favorite trenches I've seen in the past few months:

YSL trench

This asymmetrical double-breasted cotton trench coat with cutaway hem (I prefer to call it a tulip-shaped hem, but I am not versed in the lingo) has a belted waist, epaulets, buckles at cuff, side slash pockets and gold tone hardware. I prefer it in red, but it is available in navy, should you desire a less attention-grabbing color. Why on earth you would want such a thing, I couldn't guess.
